Valdettaro Group is made up of companies that have been operating for decades in the nautical sector, offering multiple services: from shipbuilding, to marina services, up to accommodation and tourist experiences, all with a common denominator: a great passion for the sea.
A dynamic industrial group in continuous expansion, which operates from Liguria to Tuscany, up to Sardinia. Born to keep the tradition of historic Italian shipyards alive, it then extended the range of services, becoming a point of reference for the upper Tyrrhenian Sea for the maintenance of boats ranging from small wooden fishing boats to mega yachts of 100m.
OUR HISTORY
Mission: preserve craftsmanship and historical heritage
Cantiere Canaletti has a long history dating back several decades. In the 1940s it began building civil boats, mainly wooden sailing yachts, some of which are still sailing.
The “Leone di Caprera”, former “Paradiso due”, a motor boat 14 m long and 3.70 m wide, was commissioned by the Battellieri cooperative of La Spezia at the end of the 1950s, to transport the pilots of the Port on ships at anchor. Renovated in the 1980s, it served to connect the islands of the Maddalena archipelago until 2000. It currently sails in the archipelago with the charm of a motor yacht from times gone by. In 1961 the “EURO” designed by Bruno Veronese was presented at the First Genoa Boat Show.
More recently, the Canaletti shipyard was taken over by VALDETTARO GROUP. The acquisition led to a greater expansion of the shipyard’s maintenance activities and allowed it to preserve and enhance its historical legacy. The Valdettaro group has brought new skills and resources to the shipyard, identifying it as an ideal place for refitting motor boats, made of wood, iron, fiberglass or composite material.
A highly specialized Nautical Centre
Cantiere Canaletti is one of the three VALDETTARO GROUP facilities in the upper Tyrrhenian Sea, next to VALDETTARO le Grazie and VADETTARO Olbia.
The nautical center made up of these three shipyards with different structures and specializations, ensures prompt assistance to our customers for any type of intervention and on any type of vessel.
